In every simulation I have done, once a blocking diode is introduced into a tuned resonant circuit resonance more or less stops.  Not only does resonance stop, but the wave forms on both sides of the cell become synchronized in parallel rather than mirrored.  Additionally, the peak voltage on the cell goes from as high as 20kV down to about 200V when the blocking diode is in the circuit.

1.  I have to wonder:
  a) what the blocking diode is really meant to do
  b) if the blocking diode is really even necessary

2.  In the simulation one of the last things I have tried to make resonance work with the blocking diode is to put a second capacitor in the VIC circuit which connects the chokes to each other on the side away from the cell, and is around quadruple the value of the cell itself.   The value of this second capacitor seems to have no effect on the calculated resonant frequency, and allows the cell now to resonate with the blocking diode in place in the normal position.  The peak voltage on the cell doesn't come near the peak voltage without the diode, but does about double the peak voltage it would otherwise reach without it.

I'd really like to know if anyone else has tried these scenarios without the blocking diode.  It seems to me with all my simulations that the highest voltage only occurs with unrectified AC current at resonance.

You won't get resonance with the Stanley Meyer circuit. It is basically this circuit: http://www.richieburnett.co.uk/dcreschg.html and designed to double the voltage coming out of the transformer. If you look into the tech brief you'll see that he starts with explaining voltage across inductor and capacitor with
Vc = 1/(omega*C) and Vl=omega*L
This would only be currect for alternating current with a waveform of the type
V(t)=V0*cos(omega*t+phi)
However he is using a custom waveform and therefore voltage across those elements cannot be calculated this way anymore. Either he didn't know better or the resonance thing does not apply to a resonant circuit in the traditional way. He's using a form of boost converter to step up the voltage.

Therefore as water was previously gas before exploding i really think that it will become only superheated steam... 
 
However lets calculate further ...
I do agree as i said that the released heat will probably be enough to convert the water into steam. However
1. how long will it be steam before it has given the heat off to the surrounding environment (chassis) and condenses?
2. the expansion water to gas will make 1860 volume-units out of 1 volume-unit. steam however, depending on temperature, will have less than 1860 volume-units for 1 volume-unit of water -> underpressure


The molecules would not need to be split inside the cylinder, but it would be of advantage:
1. water drops in (when piston is at top center)
2. electricity through it, water drops expand, pressure moves piston down
3. when piston is down (shortly after bottom center), ignite the gas -> water/steam conversion, pressure sinking rapidly (assumption), heat created
4. underpressure sucks piston up
5. repeat


I'm sure this would not work because of some mistake, i didn't look into a thermodynamics book and probably someone else has thought this through already.

Nice channel, someone uses a 1000FPS camera.
It's an open source cell and i have no doubt in their intentions as it's the admins of PESWiki and Overunity.com that are creating the hype about it when the researchers said that they don't want it.
It's also not sure if the generator is really self-sustaining.
Why is it that current goes up dramatically if i put a flyback diode anti-parallel to the coil in this circuit?
Same is when i put a diode parallel to the transformer, the current isn't frequency dependant anymore, without diode: 30V / 0,3A. with diode: 3V / 1A (1A limit from power supply). i don't get it.


anyway, problem solved. without the diode current draw is small.

If you want to get anywhere with this, you would have to invest a lot of time and money.
What is everyone doing with the water fuel cell research? ;)

Anyway, i'm not a developer, only interest and semester break. To reconsider buying into the developer stage i'd have to see the test data first. And even then,  419€ (the scam number  :-X) is a lot of money for a student, although it's worth for a real effect.
Of course this would have to be engineered further, but why am i becoming an engineer ;) I see so many orbo "replications" at the moment on overunity.com or youtube and most of them don't have any similarity except the magnets. jnaudin is to my knowledge the only one who focused on the key principles of the demonstrations and his replication looks pretty good. he has repeated the first demos of steorn and i'm hoping he will try to to their last "experiment" too.

The guy has a fancy scope, and talks in circles, he has something that spins and looks nice...
JLN did a replication, and I think he has positive results, which may give the technology some merit, however based on the videos from this guy, he has a lot more development adn demonstrations to do before I take much of an interest.
That's a scope we use at college too, nothing fancy about it, only horribly expensive. I read that they will publish data for everyone to evaluate on their website soon.

if you use more tubes in series to get ~2V at each they won't get hot while getting the same current for electrolysis.

The 60ml in an hour is probably the results of the 5mA........Warj  ;).
yes, they mentioned Ueff = 4.5V, I=1.1mA which is 4.95mW - pretty much nothing. i doubt that one can produce 60ml with 4.95mW with conventional electrolysis. (10litres / 5Wh is pretty much, and that's only the H2)
Okay, Alan you have a good point, but if the electrons was taken out of the water and not the wfc... was a separate water container used for this purpose?..

The electrons were taken out of h2o but not extracted from the wfc

Anyway i tested a cell with PDC and a LED as a "amp consuming device".. only five or six volts.. i am glad i did, cell was completely steady with no amp climbing on the multimeter. ( when i took off the LED the amp where climbing slow up.
Hello Alan,
i'd like to know how you connected the led to your cell.
I would do it with a grid mesh of ss in the water, in series with a led to ground. how did you do it?

exact parts are not the important thing, the functionality is the thing that counts. if you use stanleys transistor or a newer one does not matter, actually it could be hard and expensive to find this old things and unnecessary, because today parts are cheaper&better than 20 years ago.

Remember I am current limited. Even with
max current 4.3 amps it's still less gas then with the pulse and choke. So
even if I was really drawing 4.3 with the choke and pulse curcut it can't
pull more then 4.3 amps through the resistor. I should note that the choke
is in series with the cell. It appears there is some interaction with the
cell as part of circut and is indeed acting like capacitor. I am not your
typical youtube idiot. I am 100% confedent in my observations.


I have a theory that the pulses and back EMF is simply rasing the volatge
potential between the cell plates some how?

Just like the normal theory, his chokes limit current while inducing a voltage spike, so he has more voltage less current with the same power, current limiting via coils isn't new (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_ballast).
I'd think the back emf is just like in meyers document, when the pulse stops it creates another pulse and doubles the frequency.
