That capacitor is a polarized 10uF, the scan time is set to 0.219 Hz.

May i ask if we are speaking of the same component? im looking at the dark blue electrolytic to the right of the 555, the glare does not allow us to determine exactly if it's a 1.0 or a 10 u... how did you get that value for the scan time?
My multisim scope shots in a previous post show a very slow scan time with a 10u
please help?

can the resonance afford to wait over a few seconds to readjust the lock in?

Ali,the VCC for Stans VIC circuit was 12 volts and VDD was 5 volts.The first two resistors are 220k and the cap is 10uF.

as far as the cap on pins 6 & 2 i think 1.0 uf makes more sense because it allows a higher frequency for the scanner to lock the VCO in less time, thereby following resonance more closely

fixed the VCC issue
went back to the original 10VDC at the top of the resistor dividers for pin 3 of the LM741 on fig 8 as well, the result was a sawtooth wave with a peak of about 5 volts and a valley of about 2.5 volts. I hope this is what we need for the VCO input on pin 9 of the 4046

with the scope set at 1 second per division horizontally the difference is very noticeable
I vote for the 1.0uf cap for a closer tracking of the WFC resonance
the 10uf takes too long to charge resulting in a huge delay...

that photo above is a wound core with  blue  epoxy coating... nanocrystalline... they had a couple left from a batch that was just off spec... something tom bearden used for his MEG... at least thats what the chief of operations told me... i think they have a few of these left.

they were going to gap one for me because if we do it in a garage with a hacksaw the result will be shorted laminations and both halves need to be polished to a fine straight line across both halves so a hand saw would cut a crooked gap... wont work
also if the fine chips from the blade end up between the wound laminations the turns will short out then you need to put both ends in an acid bath to clean out the shorted turns.... very high tech cores !

So Don are you referring to the Injector setup or Resonant Cavity setup? The reason I ask is cuz in the Injector setup, the gate can be used as a trigger for the injector gate to allow water into the injector.

Isnt the injector water solenoid controlled by the led/photodiode in the distributor to time the injection with the piston cycle?

The one question I would have is what kind of material was Meyer's tube made from?
I know he states in a video and the Tech Brief that the quenching discs are made from alumina ceramic.
Was the tube full of tiny alumina discs to make it flexible? Or was the entire tube the same material?

The alumina ceramic disc is only used where a open flame is required, like in a stove for cooking , it has qualities that allow little or no heat retention and also the flame is pushed out away from the disc as it burns so the disc stays somewhat cool...a good material for a welding torch tip insert !

the tubing was some sort of plastic extruded... these guys can add various powdered materials to the plastic to improve flow ( less friction for liquid materials) but in our case the gasses simply need to be filtered at the entry of each tube

15 thousandths is a very small diameter and there were 7 passages times 5 groups... a total of 35 passages in a 3/8 inch dia tube


the reason they were grouped in a star configuration is so that when the ferrule was clamped down at the fitting the tube passages wouldnt collapse.

if you input 100mV into a resistance of 1miliohmm you have what? 100 amps right? 10watts right

but at resonance 100 amps multiplied by the reactance which in series was zero but itself has lets say 1 ohm  you have what? 100V right? 100V*100A= 10Kilowatts

Correction  I = E/R   .001V divided by .001Ohms = ONE AMP  ... not 100
 therefore power would be P=IxE or  1 x .001 = .001 watts   ... NOT TEN WATTS

dont forget, simply hitting a gas with a wavelength is not the issue
a very short wavelength is required for example, UVC for hydrogen, but not so short if the atom is being subjected to static opposing fields that are helping to open it up for the photons to enter !
so stan used the red or infrared that were the first commercially produced LEDs at the time he was experimenting

do research on what LEDs were available in the 1980s and early 90s

the static fields of high voltage pulses opened up the atoms by stretching them, so a very long RED wavelength could be used to pump up the protons energy level, this in turn helped to push the electrons into an outermost orbit for about half a second, weakening the electrons attachment to the proton
the high voltage attraction to the polar components did the rest

Hold on Steve, I think you may be jumping to conclusions. If you managed to create cations with your setup, they would not last long. The ejected electrons need to go somewhere and in this case they will be captured by previously created cations. I believe you would of just created a circle of ionization and then a return to ground state. Maybe you could insert an electron filter.

This would explain  your results. I think you are onto the right track 

yes...this is why the injectors were used in the 3rd generation of SM invention, the ionized gases are used immediately, no time to recombine electrons...also the electron extraction device and the fact that the delivery system to the injectors had no metal tubing...all plastic, no source of electrons to recombine with ionized ambient air...the exhaust gases, ionized ambient air, and HHO were all mixed in a delrin chamber /manifold before being sent to the injector/spark plug for final charge and at this point the alpha particles were created at the tip of the injector and the resulting shock wave / combustion moved the piston while probably creating helium because there werent enough electrons to recombine into water on combustion..thats where 4 years of research has me thinking...

BTW can someone find out if theres any documented research studies showing pulsing electrical fields combined with the photon bombardment resulting in a longer wavelength of light doing the same amount of electron ejection?

all the scientific papers and forum discussions speak of specific wavelengths to ionize specific gases, but when have we seen where the high voltage static field pulling the electrons to one side and the protons to the opposite side actually allows a different wavelength of light to do the work?

example 120nm UV without HV field...but maybe regular red leds with HV field? is this why stans hydrogen gas gun from 1992 was able to work using those RED LEDs from radioshack? i dont think there were any UV LEDs in those days...
of course Stan Meyers explained this in his videos, but its a difficult search term to construct when researching the net...

energy from hydrogen 1kg powerful 2.5x than energy from gasoline 1kg (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy_density) .but why run worse on engine?cause burn rate(325cm/s).engine need pressure(heat to air) or power to push a piston.the meaning is recycled non-combustion gas back to fire again(maintain burn rate to ~45cm/s).that can fix that problem.

the more hydrogen gas you produce , the farther towards TDC the timing has to go..at some point you are running on 100% HHO and zero gasoline, by then the ignition timing has to be around 5 degrees after TDC because of the high combustion rate of hydrogen..does this help explain why making more HHO gas results in a worse running engine?

@Ali ...The 4017's are basically the same as the 7490's, its just the 7490's are TTL chips that operate on 5v and the 4017's are CMOS which can operate with voltages higher than 5v like say 10v, 12v, 15v...etc. Both are positive edge triggers. This means that the rising edge of any pulse is how it get its signal and it doesn't do anything with the negative edge or falling edge. Hope this answered your question.

@ Tony... have you tried the figure 6 gate circuit with a variable pulse width input ( from the accelerator figure2)

If so, what does the waveform look like?

 does it appear to be able to vary the duty cycle of the gated signals as well? ( as it should, to increase or decrease gas output)

74123 will work better because the inputs are combined within the chip instead of tying them together outside like pins 1&2 and 3&4
