Hi Timeshell, I am curious about grades of stainless steel used in cells. in googling " Stan Meyer Stainless Steel" , Ive seen 304 mentioned, and that apparrently SM said that stainless steel ( 410 not 403 ) was the only metal that could be used as oxides formed with all others. Other people use 316 and 316L
So in considering water molecule capacitance which would be measured between 2 plates......Does the grade of S/S have an effect?
So has anyone conclusively worked out if, for example, 410 is better to use than 316L?
thinking of what is a potential useful application of the steam resonator is for - underslab and under floor heating using the steam resonator with a solar supply and having the concrete slab or otherunderfloor type reservoir of a water volume for heat distribution over the time the solar isnt being generated will help with a healthier indoor temp of the dwelling, got a cold workshop? give this idea a try.......this is an incentive to have a working steam resonator opensource what do you think

am observing the development of the " war " (false flag?) on iran and the oil embargo/restrictions being in place by this july. doesnt take much of a oil price rise for that to seep right through the economy, from transport to food......... hence I agree with the idea of open source...

I've already gotten the 8XA setup to work. I just haven't gotten the VIC circuit to react the same way yet. Back in early January 2011, I got the cell to charge to over 800 volts with 12 volts input @ less than 20mA. It looks like what has to take place is the voltage to the transformer has to be slowly increased from low voltage to its max voltage. This allows a depletion layer to form on the plates, much like a diode/transistor. If you through 12v straight to the transformer it wont allow a depletion layer to form and it will cause a dead short condition. When this depletion layer forms, it blocks current and allows the voltage to build.
Hi, With the depletion layer and the musings that a cell can be like a transistor, is it possible that the type/grade of S/S used makes a substantial effect on the sought depletion layer.?

2: the 555 timer - although it is an old favourite - is there a xtal based later design chip that would have more accurate frequency control?
3: the 7490 Decade and binary counter - this set of 3 in the 9xb drawing - they give the appearance of a frequency reduction set which relies primarily upon the stability of the 555 - was this done because potentiometer adjustment of the 555 may have been a challenge to do. So is there currently a single chip that CAN and would replace all 4 chips for the purpose of reducing chip count, simplyfying circuit design and board design and increasing accuracy of frequency required? In otherwords what design would eliminate the need to use 555 and 7490?
4: To advance the potential usage of the idea of adjustable frequency generator - can a single chip such as the XR2206 replace the 555 and 7490?
5: To advance even further - I know that by the extensive writing on many forums people like to protect their ideas because other low lifes like to steal designs and present them as their own and such perpertrators should be exposed for such and fair enough.
However perhaps that human action has suffocated the electronics design advancement for the average hobbyist who may not have the educated skills in specialised areas to advance beyond the 8xa and 9xa drawings and the associated cost of assembling it. Tony this is not a "go "at you - your study and accomplished circuit design manufacture and assembling leads you into a career field and well done - my thoughts are what could WE help design to take the idea further.

It is also recognised that others who have already built and experimented with the 8xa type designs say - build it to understand what is going on - ok fair enough - however in these times of austerity I would like to promote the idea that the potential cost is possible to reduce by advancing in u chip usage.
What I dont like about the 8xa drawing design is it shows a reliance upon a distributed mains supply to drive it and for it to function through the SCR to provide a "unipolar waveform voltage"that is switched at a timed interval.
Sure that design means people who are not electronics engineers or educated technicians may need to study electronics to work out what a SCR does blah blah blah however to my mind this makes the design less practical and less flexible in its design to be utilised in a vehicles power supply, thus my thoughts are: - a circuit design needs to be designed and built with the end result of it being used and mounted to a vehicle or other engine - whether it be a motorbike or portable generator or similar - and can the same circuit board be utilised in driving a WFC set and injectors?

After discussions with others - I am certain that the forward progress lies in utilising a microprocessor to provide the 2 basic signal functions : 1 the frequency generated pulse (whether it be sine or square wave) and 2: the interrupt gating, with the option of adding more "phases". What I dont yet know is .....how to do it. With the advancement of processors, surely there can be cost reductions in approaching the wfc/injector frequency/pulse designs to reduce the component cost.?
I have a question - might seem a bit silly but here goes: With the lawton circuit - it uses square waves. The 8xa circuit on the drawing shows it uses a sine wave. Is there any difference in the response in the VIC or driving a cell directly through a bifiliar coil as in the lawton diagram whether a square wave or sine wave is used.?
Hi Guys, yes please do use 3% powerup NNL690 additive to engine oil, 1%? to power steer and auto fluid and do add .5ml per liter of gasoline for UPPER cylinder lubrication, the key words being, boundary lubrication.
To demonstrate the value of this, obtain some powerup, mix it with oil and see what happens, its much different that observed with untreated oil from my observations, imho, thus boundary lubrication is kept and that is important, look after your investment.
" The months past and an engine project was showing problems when using Hydroxy gas generated as is from the electrolyser. Water had formed in the oil proving that Hydrogen molecules had passed beyond the piston-rings and bonded with Oxygen, and power development was also in the lower region due to the fact that the flame front burned too fast - the same problem as many others have. Tests was done with compressed and pure H2 but the problem remained - water was formed in the oil, and this was a bad thing. This problem had to be addressed, a solution had to be found. "
Hi Iontruster, I was wondering when others would see such a problem.
I would suggest treat the oil and improve boundary lubrication, the product to use is Powerup NNL690.
Use google to locate a distributor.
3% Powerup added to the engine oil does in fact substantially increase the film strength and boundary lubrication. I can tell you I have seen friction tests done and its simply amazing - their grease is simply excellent for bearings.
There is also another bonus - with Powerup in the oil - as I have seen, water does not separate into the layers causing problems - any good Powerup distributor can show the friction tests on their tester machine and show how water in oil is much different with Powerup added. That is why anyone putting any wfc on their engine I think should at a minimum treat their oil to ensure the friction barrier remains intact.
By adding a dose of powerup in the fuel(petrol or diesel at a ratio of 1/2ml powerup per litre of fuel) a upper cylinder boundary lubrication is kept - i would say give it a go.
Hi Steve, Thanks, I agree. To my mind on the vehicles with fuel injection theres a challenge to overcome - with a cell the option is to run a hybrid diesel/petrol and cell install or a 100% setup. In the hybrid setup some put the hho supply before the buttryfly, some connect directly to the intake manifold, the latter meaning that fuel savings / efficiency relies upon less opening of the butterfly, there are also complications with vacumm on a cell....and so on. What I found with my first install was no matter what I did, the fuel consumption of the vehicle was tied to the air flow meter, throttle position sensor, oxy sensor temp sensors and the map of the ecu and engine spark timing.
I found obd1 vehicles are just tough to play with the ecu unless the tools to modify are available, particularly so as auto gearboxes have their ecu linked to the main ecu......
so thats why im thinking the injector is the way to head to as the injector timing would already be there to be used from the ecu.....

so question to ponder is - what is the voltage required to perform the ionisation function.
