A full video of the entire process would be very helpful. I downloaded the paper, but a video walk through of your particular experiment would be valuable.

Today, we released the Bourke Engine Documentary - the Bourke Cycle Edition.

It is difficult to find an original copy of this book (at a decent price) that was assembled by Louis Bourke, Russell Bourke's wife. It is one of the most important pieces of work when it comes to engine science and being that Russell Bourke created the world's most efficient engine, it's highly credible.

The Bourke Cycle Edition means that there are other documents included discussing the real Bourke Cycle, which were absent from the Bourke Engine Documentary. So this is a RARE book with rare documents that accompany it.

If you study this book closely, you may see that it is possible that Stan Meyer received his original inspiration from this book when you study the concepts of nitrogen as explained.

When you read the concepts about the Thermonuclear Engine - you may see that Papp may have received his own inspiration from this work.

There are too many powerful concepts to discuss in one single post, but if you have any interest in combustion or actually hydrogen detonation science in the context of running an engine, this is THE most authoritative work on the subject ever produced.

An attempt to figure out what S1R9A9M9's circuit was is what led me to developing my plasma ignition method. If you look at his convoluted diagram he posted that hardly anyone could figure out - it is basically connecting the half rectified out put of an inverter over the spark plug gap - and it was a large appliance relay that made the right connections. When the hv spark is made, the lower voltage high current from that inverter jumps the gap and that is what his ignition is.

Everyone claimed the inverter was needed to make the effect and some tried with capacitors. Capacitors worked, but they also thought it had to be connected to the inverter still to get the effect. Because of John Bedini's old diagrams of the Gray motor with the reversed diode at the top of the HV rod, I instantly knew all those explanations were false and posted the first evidence ever showing the capacitor could be charged with a power source and be completely disconnected from the power source (free floating potential) and then applied to the ignition coil and it worked. So not only did it prove the connection to the inverter (ac power source) was irrelevant to the effect, it also proved that I could simultaneously use the same capacitor as the input power source to the primary of the ignition coil and also act as the low voltage source that would jump the gap after the hv spark was made.

I don't know what "other capacitor discharge method" you are talking about that is supposed to be "too fast for proper operation", but my own method is of course extremely fast - but the primary plasma discharge method is basically the same as what S1R was doing wit his circuit.

That plasma doesn't necessarily expand water, it instantly dissociates the hydrogen from oxygen so that is where the expansion comes from, then the hydrogen detonates very fast and very hot and that is what ignites the rest of the freed hydrogen and further dissociates more hydrogen from water, etc...

Revizal was the first to use this kind of plasma ignition to run an engine just on water after all these experiments and it was a small motorbike engine. It ran on tap water for maybe 20-30 seconds. But the plasma needs to be pretty big for that to the point it will destroy plugs fast and will explode and chip other pieces of metal it touches - most likely like the edges of valves, etc... So running an engine on water is not a problem if you have a big enough discharge but will simultaneously destroy your plug and engine. I would like to see that S1R engine torn apart and examined to see what the longer term situation is.

It can extend the time that the spark is at the gap.

There are some back flash arrestor check valves that work ok and you can plug them into vinyl tube if that is what you mean.

Did you have some kind of fumes coming from the water?

I had water go brown then eventually, it actually went clear.

My negative tube got a white powder coating and the gas production was amazing.

First time I saw this post.

Stan quotes a lot of nitrogen gas in tap water, but he is way overstating what is really there.

There is very little nitrogen in tap water - most is coming from the intake air.

Yes - the lifepo4's are not a magic answer and we left it out of the book partially because of the cost and we don't want to make claims that they have some rare advantage.

However, we know a handful of people that have been able to get better than expected results with them as mentioned a few times, but everyone has to do this at their own financial risk.

John likes to charge the lifepo4's with steady current using the current regulator circuits up to 14.8 volts and he doesn't really recommend charging them with spikes or caps, but we know some who do that have gotten them to stay charged up on these circuits.

Yeah, the discharge is a steady voltage plateau all the way across and then they suddenly drop off like a cliff - quite the opposite of lead acids.

But! on ebay there are these AA size LIFEPO4 batts rated at 3,2 volts 400 mAh, and four of those in series would make 12,8 volts 400mAh.. is perfect!

The gel cells actually do work out pretty good, but just don't have the long term life. All my early experiments going back 15 years were all gel cells.

Yes, the sealed lead acids (SLA) are gel cells, but some are AGM (absorbed glass matt) and they're also a SLA. Gels and AGM are different but they're both sealed lead acids.

Yes, you can use those lifepo4's on a small build and they shouldn't explode.

This is what happens to lifepo4's in the worst case scenario - lots of vids on youtube of people testing them, shooting bullets through them, etc... they just smoke out but no flames and no explosions:



And that 250ma normal draw you quote is of course the expected draw before serious tuning. You'll be drawing less, but I bet you could get away with even less.

The demo model we show draws 1.3 amps for 7 transistors, which is only 186ma per transistor instead of 250ma - that is 25% less draw than is expected. I don't recall the resistance of the windings.

Depends on the gap.

At the conference, it has 0 rpm loss when the lights were on. The gap at that time was far enough away that there was no difference.

With the gap as it is now at 1/2 the gap, 2% loss in rpm with the lights on. If it is 356 with led's off with that gap, I'd estimate it might pick up another 5-10 rpm if the generator coil was completely removed.

I have some tests planned for that machine and I can measure that at that time by removing the generator coil completely.

In your demo ssg did you measure rpm without gen coil in place vs gen coil in place?

In the book says that core net drag is 0, which makes perfect sense to me. But I do loose RPM because of the core.

About the gen coils voltage: I get 12 v from each pair of gen coils but the input voltage is 5v. Yesterday I used a death battery as input standing at 9 volts under load, with that input voltage the RPM went up to 2200 and the gen coils would give 20 volts.

We can back the generator coil out far enough that there is no drag or ability to light the lights. The demo at the conference, we had brought the generator coil in close enough to actually light the lights, but still have 0 rpm loss. The demo in Peter's work room, the gap is 1/2 what it was at the conference and it lost 2% rpm but the lights were significantly brighter.

The magnetic field falls off according to the inverse cube law (not inverse square) - just a side note.

Make sure you're rectifying the gen coil on the correct lead - it does make a difference whether you're getting the output on the punch up or punch down.

I have another question: can I mix in the same cap the radiant output of the ssg coil, with the output of the gen coils? or I have to use different caps and different dump cap for each?

Your RPM drop is 21%. The demo Peter showed dropped 0 RPM at the conference and before the book launch we reduced the gap by half and only lost 2%.

You have a small build so makes sense that your wheel doesn't have enough flywheel momentum to keep itself up.

With 12v from gen coil, that isn't enough with a 12v battery. You need at least 2 volts above what the battery is at.

Can you post pics of your setup?

That isn't discussing a generator coil but want to post that as reference.

This also isn't about generator coils, but when I used that wiring method for a Stan Meyer type circuit, I was able to get double voltage with the same input - this is an ancient picture I drew on the whiteboard that someone posted on their site:
