Soon after Herman was issued patents from the US Patent & Trademark Office, his work was mentioned in the London Times and the New York Times.

In the October 2, 2000 issue of The New York Times, in an article entitled Patents...Amid public outrage over oil prices, how much progress on alternatives to fossil fuels? Alas..., Sabra Chantard writes: "In the last two years, only one patent has been issued that describes itself as a vehicle engine powered by alternative fuel...

The single patent was issued to Herman P. Anderson of Brentwood, Tenn. Mr Anderson developed an engine that runs on hydrogen gas, a fuel that has held some promise for years. Several other inventors have won patents using hydrogen to power small engines. But the gas is also problematic.

Because its mass energy density is low, hydrogen gas needs to be compressed to create useful energy levels. That makes it difficult to generate enough power to run a car. And though the gas is hard to ignite when it is cool, heating it can cause premature ignition and backfiring.

All of these faults are carefully described in the patent awarded last month to Mr. Anderson, his second patent for a similar technology. He says his engine overcomes the drawbacks of hydrogen with an adapter he installed between the sparkplug and cylinder in an internal combustion engine. The adapter contains a plug with a grooved surface and a protruding electrode. When hydrogen is forced through the adapter, it flows over the grooves and is mixed with oxygen taken in through a carburator. The grooves create a tornado of hydrogen and air that heads toward the engine cylinder.
"The stratified hydrogen-air mixture is compressed in the compression stroke of the engine via a piston and push rod, which are standard structures in an internal combustion engine," Mr. Anderson wrote in his patent. He uses a spark plug modified to create a hotter spark than necessary in conventional engines, so the voltage will be great enough to light the hydrogen.

He said his system would also "provide reduced or zero emissions of environmentally harmful gasses." Mr. Anderson received patent 6,119,651.

Brentwood inventor Herman P. Anderson, 83, has patented the hydrogen fueled engine that he has been working on for 18 years with help from Mark Beasley and other colleagues from Middle Tennessee State University. So far, their work has yielded a Murray lawn mower and a Chevrolet Cavalier equipped with hydrogen and gasoline hybrid engines.

Car gets top mileage with water

Herman P. Anderson's 1969 Ford LTD gets 38 miles per gallon - of water.
That astonishing figure is the heart of a patent application for a hydrogen fuel supply and water injection system that Anderson has developed during the last two years at his Brentwood home on Hill Road.
Of course, there are several technicalities to explain. Anderson's system requires the mixing of hydrogen gas to mix with the water. The result he says, is in effect a "powerful steam engine."
"I could sell it now," Anderson, 67, said, "I've done a patent search on the improvements and there aren't any like mine on the market. The patent is pending without any infringements on anyone else."
The patent, which will take several years to process, wold be limited to any improvements Anderson makes on already patented hydrogen fuel supply systems - a point Anderson quickly concedes.
The existing patents differ from Anderson's application because they depend on refillable tanks of hydrogen connected to the carburator or manifold by pressurized lines.
The already patented systems also run only on hydrogen gas. Anderson says he has improved on that by injecting water vapor at the point of combustion to create a "steam engine" effect.
"The hydrogen as fuel is nothig new," the retired Air Force fighter pilot said. "It's the efficiency improvements that make this engine highly patentable. I'm generating my own supply of hydrogen right here under the hood."
The eight-cylinder Ford block can be switched from hydrogen fuel to standard gasoline with the flip of a switch on the dashboard demonstrating more flexibility than the existing hydrogen systems, Anderson noted.
Anderson has a long history of working with chemical and nuclear elements, yet has never taken formal training in the fields, he said.
He developed a welding rod that made the union of two types of metals easier and then sold the rights to the invention.
While living in Williamson County's Allisona Community in 1960, he developed a magnetic ion motor that uses radioactive particles as a power source, drawing interest from Arnold Engineering officials in Tullahoma.
"I'm basically self-taught and naturally interested," Anderson said.
Here is Anderson's account of the workings of his latest experiment:
Situated in a back corner of his car's engine compartment is a reservoir of ionized water, into which positive and negative electric terminals are placed.
When a charge is sent throught the water, the water molecules - H2O - split.
The oxygen atoms cling to the positive electrode while the hydrogen atoms, in an ionized state, are conducted through the solution to the negative plate.
There, the hydrogen atoms recombine under an electrical charge to produce H2 - hydrogen gas - which is collected and directed through a LP gas carburator into the manifold for distribution to the cylinders.
Also at the manifold, a fine mist of distilled water is injected.
"The water expands as steam when the gas ignites and gives the piston a good solid push all the wa down," Anderson said. "It's much more powerful than a gasoline engine."
Besides the increased horsepower, which has been measured on a dynamometer, Anderson contends that the engine runs about 20% cooler and produces only water vapor and nitrous oxide - laughing gas - as emissions.
The entire alternative fuel system has been intricately coordinated with the conventional carburator and timing system, making it possible to switch fuel sources while the engine is running, Anderson demonstrated with a toggle switch on the car's dashboard.
Anderson who sas he has been inventing since age 12, further demonstrated the engine by disconnecting the gasoline fuel lines and allowing the engine to deplete the fuel left in the carburator. He then switched on the electricity to the hydrogen gas generator and restarted the motor.
The automated system of colorful wires, tubes and water tanks under the hood of Anderson's green and white Ford sedan can be put together by anyone who has the right information and about $300.
The items that Anderson did not fashion himself from tubing and valves can be purchased from automobile parts stores that carry components for propane powered engines, Anderson said.
"That's why I waited so long to tell anyone about it," Anderson smiled. "I feel like I'm protected as bast as I can with my patent applications."

The water fuel injectors could be a form of wave guide..  The tapered electrode  gap  may  be functioning as a wave  guide as well as a resonant
cavity resulting in the plasma causing thermal/and molecular destruction of the injected water, and gases with the release of "GNT"  energy.
As  ions revert  to lowered energy states, the water and gases are going to a lowered energy state with the release of  the differences in bond
energy being released as GNT

In the case of the  vertical tubular  array devices, the spacing between the anode and cathode is different  from the injector device because the
resonance distance for  liquid water is different than the gases and water vapor being mixed prior to plasmolysis in the injectors.
Within a cavity, the index of refraction will depend upon the material through which the waves are traveling. The wavelength and
frequency need to be tuned to the physical dimensions of the cavity(s) for the resonance and standing wave of the plasma to occur.
The indices of refraction vary with the wavelength of thee light ,x-ray or microwave used
Some investigators have mentioned a blue or orange glow during their experiments with the Meyer technologies....

The Spherical cavity,  the Vertical Tubular Array and Fuel Injectors all have in common the need for adjusting the frequencies
pumping the electrons to higher levels and using electron extraction to destabilize the atomic structures to form a more stable
energy state. With hydrogen,  the electron is stripped out and not permitted to reform by being "consumed" by an electron
well such as an incandescent bulb or heating element.  With the oxygen atom, as its electrons forced into higher electron orbital
states, the electrons are further away from the positive nucleus, and can be more easily plucked off  by the electron
extraction process.  Eventually the electrostatic attraction between the hydrogen and oxygen becomes so weak that the
water molecule breaks apart and reforms as the H2 and O2 gases which are then burned as fuel

was taken the day before the video titled Environmental Meeting" that was sent to irondmax and shown at the Bremen Seminars and posted on his hho site for everyone.

I included it in the Videography collection here at ionizationx.  James Wight was the videographer and was a West Coast promoter of the Stan Meyer technologies.

Since the passing of Stan, a number of the photographs and videos that were known to exist are now lost forever and others are known to be in or have been in private and possibly governmental archives.

The standard abbreviation list is intended as a quick specific
way af specifying a part in general discussions of the Demonstration Unit (Tube Cluster Model).
 
I put it into a downloadable format for your use at home.
If you add in your part numbers,alternate sources, and comments
and then post it in this thread, other replicators can benefit from
your successes and failures.
 
The photogrammetric process is not without its problems. The lack of clear photographs or video clips with sufficient resolution
may lead to differences in interpretation and measurements. For
example a top down, full length or bottom view in good resolution probably do not exist, which means that angle of
view adjustments lead to slight measuring errors.
 
Fortunately,the IITER p 28 and with many thanks the valuable insights given by Dynodon in his many postings and more recently in PHOTO0066.jpg and PHOTO0068.jpg have cleared up many
construction details.
 
I selected McMaster-Carr as a reference for part numbers because
many parts in their on-line catalog have exact measurements and
specifications. The Mcmaster-Carr part number can function as an "esperanto" for the Demo Cell Replicators. There are, of course many alternate sources for most parts but the use of a common part number no matter where you get it will help eliminate confusion and lead to exact replications.

I believe it,s a 3x5 file card which is being used to hold open the butterfly valve on the carburator.  I use to do this all the time when my duster was flooded. You will see Stan put it in his pocket, a little hard to do with a cup.

A conductive grounding plate is used in the Meyer and other replications.  Generally one tube is free to vibrate acoustically while the other is fixed but the main function is primarily as a structural component it the construction.

Due to the relatively greater distance between the grounding plate and the charged surfaces of the inner and outer stainless tubes, while it may as some effect, the main capacitance is occurring between the outer surface fo the smaller diameter tube and the inner surface of the larger diameter outer tubes

Another and quicker way that Stan could have formed the slots
is to have used an abrasive cutting disc. This method makes a lot of sparks and tubes get very hot with some discoloration.

Regardless of what website you follow or contribute to, I can think we all can agree that
Stanley Meyer Day August 24th can be a special day.
 
1. It can be a day of remembrance for those who were privileged to know him.
 
2. It can be a day to post and discuss special releases of articles, pictures and stories that have not
   been seen before.
 
3. It can be a day to chat with others around the world that share his dream.
 
4. It can be a day of hope for a better future, a cleaner and greener environment.
 
5. It can be a day of rededication and detemination to see the principles of his inventions
   understood and applied for the betterment of the human condition.
 
So basically it can be a lot of things for a lot of people. Mark you calendar and ask your
repective webmasters to support the new August Holiday  August 24th  Stanley Meyer Day!

In the 1993  Denver presentation, Stan indicates that energy is not being created. In a fusion device only small amounts of energy are utilized to release the tremendous amounts of energy within the nucleus. In a similar manner, relatively small amounts of energy are used to force electrons into higher energy orbitals and when  these highly energized molecules have the colvalent bonds broken, a tremendous amount of energy is ulimately released
For those of you who have followed my discussions on the importance of "tuning" the tube sets to vibrate like a tuning fork
there are several inventors and experimenters that have followed this lead. Most notably Dave Lawton who mentions the
importance of attachments at nodal points such as 22.4% of length and Scott Cramton whose ground breaking work at
Laesa stress the use of notches to acoustically tune the tubes. This would be akin to tuning organ pipes or wind chimes.

While tube sets that vibrate may have an increased gas yield because of several factors such as:

1. Greater effective area of gas production because the gas bubbles are released from the surface or "sweep"
   the inside surfaces upon rising within the tube.

2.Large bubbles do not have a chance to form and bridge the gap between the inner surface of the outer tube and
   the outer surface of the inner tube, which in turn leads to greater variablity in the capacitance of the tube set.

3. Additionally, the constant release of small HHO bubbles due to acoustic release sets up conditions for a less
    turbulent flow of the water and bubbles, a more steady state, where capacitance is likely to be more stable
   and possible steady currents of water circulate with a gentle constant flow rather than the turbulent flow and surges
   of bubble production seen with the Variable Plate Demonstration unit ,

4 Depending on relative ease that the tubes can vibrate in different axes x,y and z due to the type of mounting
   "Z" spring and loose teflon mounting screws  of Cramton or the "Inverted 7" springs of Meyers and xy dowels,
   the rate of bubble release from the sides of the tube might be increased or retarded. Scot cautions not to over
   tighten the teflon mounting screws. Therefore ,something may be occuring in the acoustic realm that is  of importance.

NOW with all that being said what if the acoustic tuning is actually a means to another end, namely
the construction of essentially identical electronically equivalent parts. The acoustic adjustments that
are made may be one way of confirming that very small surface areas have been removed to ensure closer
tolerance on the  individual tube set capacitances and that when all the tube sets are identical,  matching XC
might easier for the individual tube as well as the entire tubular array.

In the cases where a PLL circuit is trying to lock onto  a shifting  capacitance in the later types of the Stanley Meyers
inventions, a capacitance that has a great deal of variablity during  gas production is not desirable nor would
slightly different capacitances of the various tube sets as built be best for maximal  or optimal gas production
in the later embodiments of Staney Meyer's inventions.

So the bottom line may be that while acoustics may play a role in increasing gas production, it is the care going
into making electrically identical tube sets  that is paramount in the  later Meyers devices.
