An identity on IonizationX as it was harvested, not an account on this site. Nobody here has claimed it, and nothing connects it to a person by name.
are you using 2 probes for measuring voltage?

across an actual capacitor based on the calculated value of the cell's capacitance. Still working on getting a resonant cavity made.
you mean ten 3" tubes in series with a calculated cpacitance of around 877nF ?

From testing that I've done with my replication of the 5 coil VIC, I've gotten over 2kv out of it and its a 7:1 step-up. I also tested a 1/2 scale 6-1 coil and I've gotten over 4kv out of it.
you mean across the water or across a simple capacitor?
interesting rethinking.
why does meyer chooses the MUR1560 diode (600v 15A) .Why such high current rating ?
However then as Minde said why does he uses awg29 wire that is good for a maximum of an amp or so?
These 2 question contradict each self.
Custom u cores anyone?

Can you post a picture of your VIC ?
I have lots of these rods around but inductance readings look too low. I wound aprox 100 turn on one of them and resulted in only 0.6mH.

All,
I've made fine iron powder and epoxy cores and they will not saturate but have a inductance too low for us I think. It is much below 400uh and works nicely for 60hz but not much good at khz frequencies. Same experience with steel strips from an old microwave oven transformer. Since that experiment, I've bundled and put seven 1/4" ferrite rods through standard wire bobbins off the shelf and matched the ends with rectangular ferrite strips about five high. It works well and is cheap from ebay.

What ferrite rods are you using?
Are they balun ferrite rods?

The nearest I can find are balun rods but have permeability of 400 not 1000

Hi Seb,
I too cannot get my head around the diodes as you describe them. How is the second diode connected again? A picture would be helpful, much obliged. I'm now running 8.5kv with my vic with little gas.

WOW is the 8.5kv across the water gap?
WFC connection

What we certainley know from the provided original pics is that he was running ten 2.5inch tubes in SERIES!. So we only have a +ve and -ve connection there.
But now how did he connected all the 9 VIC packs to the cell ?

Thanks for your cooperation!
What is the thickness of the quartz tube you are using ?

This is what I'm seeing in the circuit...is this what you guys are seeing???

Hi Tony
What is the value for the capacitor near the 22k resistor?

The blue wire overlap was a bit tricky there.
This makes much more sense now!
Please discard my previous posts.
Any ideas of what capacitor values should we use?

Pin3 is going to 2 places
1) bottom layer - (pink) goes to pin8 of nor gate. (ok clear)
2) top layer - (red) goes to POINT-1 then blue wire to 10k resistor of driver circuit.
Pin4 is routed only on the top layer (yellow)
1) goes to first 4017 input pin14 (ok clear) but we do not care of that because it is clear that he is not using the 4017s
2) now look at the red circile, if you look closely there is a faint connection visible to POINT2. this goes to another blue wire that goes to a 22k resistor and a small ceramic capacitor.
Now as for the resistor and capacitor where are they connected to
the other side of the 22k resistor goes to -ve primary
the other side of the capacitor goes to the emiter of Q7 / 470ohm res / 0v
Please note that there is also a tiny red wire connected to the other side of the 22k resistor

Forget about my last post I had another mistake there as well.
I took another close look at the PCB. please look carefully at those 2 pics so to see exactly what is going to were!

Yesterday I had some time to examin the circuit board pictures.
1/ What I`v noticed as Dynadon pointed out was that there is another 741 connected in parallel with the A25(741) of fig4. however still there is no extra connection for the input of the extra opamp!( extra J input if you like). pin 3 seems to be connected to a 47k and then to Vdd.
2/ fig7 4017 dividers are not connected ok, but how and were pll pin 4 is connected to pin 5 I cannot locate. were is it?
