Francisco PACHECO Hydrogen Generator

There is a hydrogen generator that you rarely hear about but I think it is worth mentioning. It was invented and developed by a Bolivian fellow who used it to run cars exclusively on water in his native Bolivia. He later moved to the US and became a US citizen. He offered his hydrogen generator to the US government as a free gift since he was so happy to have become a US citizen. They did not want his generator and never utilized it. Anyway, I think this generator has some merit since it is easy to build and produces a lot of gas which we could then in turn route through our other systems to make it a more powerful fuel.
If there is any interest I'll post all Francisco Pacheco's patent numbers.

Suppressed Technology
This is a highly suppressed system. Because there was so much information out there on the web it was suppressed by ignoring it and not mentioning it anywhere. It is one of the very few hydrogen generators that is not mentioned in the most popular how to books out there on the internet. You can find it if you look for suppressed stuff but you'll have to stumble onto it as I did.
Because of it's suppression I think it is worthy of a good look. -

Francisco Pacheco Mentioned In Other Threads
I saw Francisco Pacheco mentioned in some other threads along with multiple other suppressed technologies. I felt Francisco Pacheco was worthy of his own thread, and so that is why I posted about him. The electrodes he uses are different than the others cells. -

Pacheco
4-5 years ago, I had a customer at my health food store that was
fanatical bout Pacheco. He brought me all the patents and kept pointing
out references to him. I never tried to build anything based on it so I don't
know the reality but yes, almost nobody ever mentions him. -

I purchased the magnesium about a year ago to experiment with the Pacheco system and had so many things going on I never got around to it. I still need to purchase the aluminum but that should be easier to round up than the magnesium was. I'm still busy with to many things going on but I need to get to it some time soon.

Hi All,
A couple of years ago I also gathered all the nessesary materials to do a proof of concept test. It worked as described.
The reaction is a pure electrolytic one. I used small test pieces of Mg, Al & Stainless in a glass of sea water. The Mg & Al, are the annode and the Stainless is the cathode (wire attached to each piece). Nothing would happen until I connected the wires together, and when I did a small but impressive amount of hydrogen was produced. I say impressive because the samples of metal were only about 1cm x 1cm in size, yet every few seconds I could ignite the gas with a lighter and get a nice little fire ball.
It is a very simple method and as far as I can tell Francisco ommitted nothing from his patents. I had designs all ready to go for larger scale units, but as usual "life" got in the way and I moved country. I am glad to have been reminded of this now.

Sacrificial anode
According to the patent on the Rex Research page that slovenia posted, the Mg/Al anode is sacrificial.
This points to it be an electrical/chemical reaction that creates a larger percentage of hydrogen gas rather than the "perfect" mixture of oxygen/hydrogen as in regular electrolysis..
In other words, the reaction "eats" the Mg/Al anode. -

It's my understanding that both the magnesium and aluminum are sacrificed in the reaction.
What makes this system interesting is that it makes enough hydrogen to power a car. If you need more hydrogen you add more cells. The cell also acts as a battery and that voltage can be used to operate a pump or whatever else you want to utilize it for.
I will try and get a test cell up and running within the month so that I'll have something to show.

Great Cell
There are three great reasons to make this hydrogen generator.
1) It is very easy for anyone to make since it does not require any complicated circuitry and the anode cathode arrangements are very easy.
2) It makes a lot of gas.
3) It is a working system that has run cars in Bolivia and US. -

Yes the Al and the Mg are both used up in the process, although it happens quite slowly. The use of reasonably thick plates would be recommended in a full scale unit.
The best part about this system is that the electrolite is plain old sea water. Pacheco tested a unit that was designed for his boat. He installed an inlet that allowed sea water streight from the ocean to flow through the cells, continually replenishing the supply as it was used. In this situation water is no longer the fuel, but the annodes are.

Plain old sea water
Plain old sea water. I can likely get the Aluminum and magnesium no problem the hardest thing for me to get is the Plain old sea water. Isn't that so weird how something that is so abundant is so hard for someone to get. I live almost in the middle of Canada, would I get the sea water without driving 2,000 km to the ocean?dambit wrote:

Not sure you can buy sea water on E-Bay maybe that is why the system never took off? -
