Yes the Al and the Mg are both used up in the process, although it happens quite slowly. The use of reasonably thick plates would be recommended in a full scale unit.

The best part about this system is that the electrolite is plain old sea water. Pacheco tested a unit that was designed for his boat. He installed an inlet that allowed sea water streight from the ocean to flow through the cells, continually replenishing the supply as it was used. In this situation water is no longer the fuel, but the annodes are.

A couple of years ago I also gathered all the nessesary materials to do a proof of concept test. It worked as described.

The reaction is a pure electrolytic one. I used small test pieces of Mg, Al & Stainless in a glass of sea water. The Mg & Al, are the annode and the Stainless is the cathode (wire attached to each piece). Nothing would happen until I connected the wires together, and when I did a small but impressive amount of hydrogen was produced. I say impressive because the samples of metal were only about 1cm x 1cm in size, yet every few seconds I could ignite the gas with a lighter and get a nice little fire ball.

It is a very simple method and as far as I can tell Francisco ommitted nothing from his patents. I had designs all ready to go for larger scale units, but as usual "life" got in the way and I moved country. I am glad to have been reminded of this now.

Great info and clear descriptions.

Some early to mid '90s fuel injected cars, such as the mitsubishi verada 3.0L V6 and the Mazda 626 2.0L 4 Cyl, do not require and EFIE to be installed. Infact a drop in fuel mileage occurred with an EFIE unit in use. So I think one should always trial the HHO booster without an EFIE first to check if it is needed. Or just switch it off to do a comparison.

Hi,

Directing "cooler" ambient air into the into the intake manifold, instead of the warmer/hot engine bay air, increases performance. That's why almost all race tuned cars have cold air induction.

Maybe I am thinking of power performance and not fuel efficiency.

Hi toddo,

I spoke to my Grandad yesterday and he said that at first he had problems with heat, but he repositioned the hho unit into the front of the left wheel well. The tyre cannot make contact with it and it gets only warm to the touch.

Hi mate,

I don't know much about efie's etc, but my grandad purchased a hho booter from these guys Welcome to Fuelbusters! and he is now getting a 70% increase in mileage. The unit gets a little hot, but not too hot. He has installed the unit in a 1993 Mitsubishi Verada, 3ltr V6 and he has not installed an efie box.

I don't usually promote businesses on forums, but I know this unit works. It might help.

I don't think even the "qualified" egyptologists know what they are talking about half the time. Just look at there ideas about the pyramids.

I remember reading about similar type of lights or light poles being found in the remote jungles of South America. Some of them were reportedly still working. I'll try and find the book and re-read what it says.

Hi rick, the rod could be hollow and the gas could be fed through a bubbler/flash protector and then lit. Only question is weather or not the hydrogen would burn too quickly. I think it might.

I can get Mg sheet but I have to order it from interstate. It's not very common in Australia outside dedicated uses, most places that have Mg have it in ingots. Also, people over here think it's dangerous. Mind you it's not very heavy so I'll look into shipping costs.

I have a great book titled "Suppressed Inventions and Other Discoveries". It is a fantastic book with all kinds of medical and technical information that has been suppressed. I'm not sure if anyone here has looked into it, but with regards to water/hydrogen converters, an inventor by the name of Francisco Pacheco built an amazing hydrogen generator/cell. patent # 5,089,107 . It uses basic chemestry and is fairly simple to construct. The only problem is getting magnesium in sheet form. I can't seem to find it. I did a small proof of concept to see if it might work. I used small scraps of the metals and arranged them in the correct manner. It seems to work fairly well even in small scale.
