Ive been doing some digging recently at some ou devices using tesla coils . I just had a bit of a brainwave and thought why not mix the two together , ie add a fuel cell to the tesla tech ?
This devise by don smith looks interesting (page 110-123)


And this replication of the Kapanadze by jean louise jaudin looks easy enough to do :

They would be no good for vehicles because they need an earth but might work on stationary applications ?

heres whats on my mind and where im at with my rotary vic project.. i ran out of wire when i was winding my coils and had to wait for some work to get more wire. yesterday i ordered some double sided copper clad for my diode board, some insulating paper, and some more wire..  i am using 27 gauge and will have 30 winds secondary and 30 winds for each bifilars..  this will give me a total of 90 per cavity.. i have a big alternator like stans and i am hopping that 90 total will not be to much...

john, did u have a hard time getting 47 in the cavity or did you find you still had room? i would rather take the time to reduce the winds now rather then later if i need to...

Definately had room for more , but obviously it depends on the stator . You need to be able to fit 2 loops in one channel the way Kevin does it (trailing edge of last loop and leading edge of next loop) .

I think the cheapest and easiest way for pulse width modulation or signal generation is just shelling out 150 dollars for a decent lab grade unit. If I had known this before I bought the Lawton circuit for the same price, I would have gone with a nice one with tons of options and an LED readout. I found one on eBay for 130 not too long ago. The Lawton circuit works great too, I just like the extra bells and whistles. Unless your replicating, how the signal is generated is really not an issue.

Unless you want to fit the unit in a car  ;D

Hello , im new to the forum . Ive been fiddling about with hho for well over a year now and still not managed to produce much gas . Ive made a lawton pwm and messed about with transformers and vic's . Ive moded a quare wave as per kevin west but neither seems to quite cut it . Has anyone got a schematic of a pwm without the duty cycle problems of the lawton circuit ? Ive rewired an alternator the same as kevin too and it puts out 500v when my cell isnt connected but that goes down to about 50 with the cell on .

Hello , just started fiddling again after some time out . Ive got one of tony's 8XA circuits which ive been playing about with using various chokes that i had lying around . How do you size the chokes properly though ?

Im using distilled water . Tried using the caps and inductors but it made no difference . I think Kevin has been getting some great results . If i produced the same amount of gas i would be happy .

im putting a square wave into the alternator ( kevin west's mod) , infact its totaly the same setup , same wave but no gas . He has no idea why either ?????
Im getting about 100v 1a out with the cell connected . Im totally flumoxed ???

I just tried the other configeration but produced no more gas than straight into a bridge  . Im not saying i did it correct but spent all day making some small triflar inductors to put in the alternator with 1n5408 diodes ....

Thanks donald , i read that thread , very interesting . Mine is done very similar to the first drawing but it would be quite easy to modify it to the second one . Mine is a delco remy and have 47 winds per loop , 13 loops per phase going into a full bridge .
Do you know how big and how many winds per choke ? And would they be triflar ?
I havent had the same results as kevin which is frustrating , the only difference on mine is the resistor size (i have some on order ) and im using de ionised water instead of distilled (also on order ) . Distilled water used to be everywhere but its really hard to find in the uk now for some reason , its all just deionised .
I should have them by the weekend and really cant wait to try them ...... fingers crossed :)

Many thanks for the reply's . Im off on holiday tomorrow , but when i   come back im going to have a go at replicating scott cramtons cell .   Apparantly he is getting 6lpm @1 amp pulsing an alternator . Its   constructed the same as meyers demo cell with the slots to make the tube   pairs resonate .
  If i can generate 6lpm it should be enough to run a petrol generator ...... happy days .

Hello , im trying to find out how much gas you can get from 1litre of water . I read it somewhere a while ago but cant find it . Anyone know ?

was you using red led's with your cell ?
Dynodon mentioned water was pumped through the resonant cavity . I wonder if this helped or if it was just to take the milky water to the plugs ?
Whatever we do though , 1/4 lpm is no where near enough production . I might just bite the bullet and rewire my stator like donald and outlaw .

Well ive done a few more tests but they have been slightly disapointing . The first was a lpm test which was only about a 1/4 lpm  :( . Then i got some tubes and covered 2 with heat shrink insulation and 2 without ..... The tubes without the heatshrink seemed to produce more ! The last test was puting a big bifilar choke between the alternator and the cell . This raised the voltage from 25 v to 100 v ish but produced less gas ....... sigh ......
