Robert Murray Smith has begun a new project and put a call out to those looking to help replicate and bring this about.
Thought it would be of interest to this group.
Will post updates from time to time here.

This is a project I am sure I will never be able to do on my own. What I think is needed is a team of people to bring it to reality so - if you are interested, I would love your help. Annoyingly i realised i got the polarity wrong - electrons are attracted to the positive repulsed by the negative - i was tired when i made this - please don't point it out to me - i know!!! -

Perhaps if the Needs or requierements for replication were listed in some fashion?
Equipment ?
Circuits built for what needs /to what tolerance ?
Any thing you can share would be Nice!

A nuclear engineer Prof George Miley took a good look at this "fusor" several years ago. Basically, the Farnsworth Fusor going back decades. Its a good idea, based on true hot fusion... but getting those deuterons (or d-t) to fuse is not so easy. Mostly they just collide elastically ("bounce off").
Miley said that the device would make a decent source of neutrons; but NOT net energy. I suggest you check with Prof Miley or his published papers on the fusor; or if you have improvements, he would be a good one to talk to. He's very approachable. -

Hiya Guys - I just registered so i could join in in this thread. I know the fusor is incapable of breakeven fusion and I believe this is due to the grid 'sucking energy' out of the system - that's a bit of a short hand way of describing what actually happens - anyway - the thrust of development for IEC has been getting rid of the grids or making them invisible - I think that's what Bussard was up to when he designed the polywell. Beam fusion is mostly about getting rid of the grids altogether and using electrostatic optics - I was thinking that flight time might be used to achieve the same effect - I have to admit I have no idea if this will work - but the idea intrigued me and I thought it might well be worth investigating - so - with the help of a lot of others - that's what we are doing. If you want to have a look at the basic idea it's in the link to the video - rather than repeat it here and I would greatly appreciate your input -

This is just an exploration of a few ideas I had a bout the farnsworth multipactor from reading the patents 2071515 and 2071516 and how the relate to the Methernitha Testatika (Thestatika) as a possible solution to the 'hidden' electron cascade component that is the key to this machine but has never been revealed. I am taking a functional view here - that is - if what is needed to complete the machine is a cascade device and the Methernitha guys won't reveal it then what else will perform that function. I also think it would do the same job for any electrostatic generator like a wimshurt generator or a kelvin water drop generator. -
