Thanks for the video link. I didn't understand that language but I could see what he was doing. Pretty cool how simple the method of demonstration is.

If so, the top reservoir must be in vacuum and the lower reservoir has compressed air. But the compressors consume energy.
What you list is half of what he described but it's still only a quarter of a complete cycle i.e. his animation is only half the cycle. I don't think it works at all. Just continue with the steps needed to repeat a complete cycle and get the two bottles back to their starting positions. He says he has a working unit but he doesn't show it working. Too bad. I couldn't find his patents either.

These types of systems can be made to work on paper if you have no losses and no loads. The only energy in this system is that which was used to set all the pressures at the start. After that it runs down and stops. Fun to think through though. I once spent a Sunday morning with physics book out and calculated one of these out fully. Without losses or load, all my energy transfers balanced out. I even built part of it for fun.

Even more synchronicity. I just posted to the freenrg-l group this morning about an electrolyzer where the plates were insulated so that it used just voltage and no current to break the H2O apart. Sounds like what you tried. I'd be curious to know what you found.

Thanks for mentioning the Tay Hee Han cell. I found his patent US4427512, made for interesting reading. Barium Titanate has a high dielectric constant. For my purpose, I don't need it to be too high, around 10 to 20 will do. For your case, from the patent it sounds like you need much higher. I do know that above 118C its dielectric constant gets ridiculously high. If you have "The Feynman Lectures on Physics" volume II, see pages 11-8 to 11-11 on this. You can probably find something on the web about it too.

I made my BaTiO3/Paraffin wax one today and I'll crack open the mold and test it tomorrow. I did run into some pouring problems so I may have to try again. But the details may be getting away from the purpose that Vicker made this thread for. Maybe we should create a thread about making Barium Titanate dielectrics?

Hi Vickers,
Well, I'm in the midst of building a Barium Titinate dielectric cylindrical capacitor. My calcs told me I can either go with a impractically high voltage or a small radius that would break down under the voltage anyway or a higher K dielectric. This is for testing a variation of Aaron's Gray Tube Replication circuit guided by my particle creation from vacuum energy theory (http://rimstar.org/sdenergy/vacuum_energy). It turns out that Aaron's circuit is a nice fit for this theory.

I just got through making a BaTiO3/epoxy one (38% BaTiO3 by weight) but the K is only 3, just a little higher than the K of the epoxy alone. I've had a K in the 12 to 18 range with flat BaTiO3/wax capacitors before so I'm in the process of making a cylindrical version today. The attached photo is from the build of the BaTiO3/epoxy one. I was going to make two at the same time but ended up doing just one.
