Big building AC units use chillers which are Cooling units that cool water and pipe it into the building to what is normally called a evaporator. So its still using a freon based system but only to cool water and pump it into the buildings cooling system.. When I used to weld commercially I replaced a unit one time. -

Did you watch the video, there is a turbine being spun by the refrigerant as it boils into a vapor. They're saying two of these can generate enough electricity to run a small city.

Geothermal
they simply got a way to tap geothermal power... not really free energy... -

I think this is about as close as one could ever get. All you need to power your entire home is a single well. -

I was just referencing to the point where you spoke about the hospital AC unit how it is a chiller..
Yes i like the idea presented with this.. very interesting stand point using mediums which boil at much lower temps than water. -

I would like to do this on a residential unit just on a smaller scale. But I cant think of what to put in the refrigerant line to act as a generator. I could do this is since I have all the tools. -

I think you could use air-conditioning refrigerant, like 410r that is non aggressive to ozone...
In order to make that you are also going to need a vacuum pump
pressure gauges, tubes, flanges and copper tubing
and probably an air conditioning pump to get the gas in....
the idea is indeed very smart... because you can extract more power from the lower temperature side this way...
It could be used to generate energy from solar water panels too! as long as you have cool water to use.
You just need a heat sync and a cold sync -

I like this clean type of energy. I watched the video's as well.
It looks like you need heat from a well. But you are digging a hole in the ground and i do not see a well..
Can you explain what your up to?
I have a well, but i need to pump the water up........
At what temperature is the liquid vapouring?
