An identity on Energetic Forum as it was harvested, not an account on this site. Nobody here has claimed it, and nothing connects it to a person by name.

Well Peter...

I really hope you don't take that knowledge to grave with you, like many before you did. I am not suggesting you are going to die soon - I wish you live long long time, but we do not have the brain xerox technology to save the contents of your mind for later use.

So, unless you share the knowledge in some other fashion it will be lost to the rest of us. And now is a good time like any other to start sharing. After all, your ideas/plans did not transpire due to economic situation, but that does not mean other people would not succeed.

Otherwise, out of respect for everyone's feelings and for the sake of harmony on this forum, I will not post how I feel about the FE community, as those words would be several magnitudes harsher than what unzapped wrote above.
If you think that this venture, or any other, is NOT working for the status quo you got another thing coming at ya.

Do you honestly believe that Gates, or anyone else, would be permitted to distrub the geo/socio political and economical structure of the World, and live to see the next day?

When you have everything, your next move is always to have more, whatever that is. You play the game and you'll be part of the "club" getting cut of the loot.

So, in this example, the next 30 years will see a move to Hydrogen powered vehicles. We are already seeing hybrid ones but they will phase out in a decade or so and be replaced with pure Hydrogen cells.

The "Industry" has been gearing up for this move since the 70s probably, making sure that when they are ready to switch, everything is in place and there's no interruption in profit flow.

Then you have the silly HHO and accompanying "movements" that have surfaced in the past few years, with seemingly thousands of people working on various "cells" and other similar devices. Why do you all think that is?

I propose that this is not a coincidence and that it is done by the very same "Industry" mentioned above, as a precursor to their transition to Hydrogen. They are preparing general public for it and who better to be used as a vessel but the fringe energy "researchers" who think they are onto something new and radical and will do the PR for free. It's laughable...if it wasn't so sad.
Wait, I don't get it. Your friend found that in his place of residence and it was not placed there by him nor anyone else in his household??

I'd look at where it was placed first, then also look at the materal composition of whatever that is. If there is something inside the cylinder in the center, x-ray can show that as well.

The hooks on the sides appear to have a purpose I guess, but what...

@amigo: Easy to solve this problem. Buy some stainless bolts with Teflon locking nuts. Drill hole in front (thread) end of bolt, insert a tungsten rod (tig welder use same). Mount the bolts at both ends on glass tube to use for vacuum as well as observations; I used HT two part silicon (I think you will call it 'Gasket Maker' in USA). Can adjust easily and have strong clean spark.
Hmmm, but wouldn't the gas escape through the bolt when you are screwing/unscrewing to adjust the distance, or through the seal between the bolt and the glass. I thought that there are totally different requirements for high pressure or high vacuum seals and chambers?

Would you happen to have a photo of it, or maybe a drawing?

Thanks.
I'd love to get a spark gab (tube) filled with Nitrogen, but the gap should be adjustable and I'm puzzled how would that be done when the tube contents is filled with Nitrogen.

I have been considering some ideas using externally placed magnets to move one arm of the gap, but then I think there's an issue of a contact between that arm and the output pin it connects to as it could possibly create arcing around that area.
I too remember reading about Nitrogen quenched spark gap in the Secrets of Cold War Technology book and thought it would be interesting to build one (ok some shop that has necessary tools to build it for me).

I do not believe HCN (Hydrogen Cyanide) is created through arc discharge in the Nitrogen spark gap environment, else we'd be making HCN in the air spark gaps as well (air contains 78% Nitrogen).

As the clipping says, when acetylene or cholorform flame is fed by active nitrogen, then HCN is a product.

But this brings me to something else. If air contains so much Nitrogen, why are we not seeing more of the golden colour discharge in air spark gaps? Does Oxygen (or Ozone) play some role in supressing the effect of Nitrogen? If Activated Nitrogen removes electrons, then perhaps Oxygen adds them in and so the air spark gaps are not as effective as vacuum or ones with the Noble Gases?

Also, the mention of Activated Nitrogen being monoatomic makes me think about ORME (Orbitally Rearranged Monoatomic Element). True, David Hudson talked about Gold ORME and the requirement for its precipitation was 5,000 C for several minutes in a carbon arc discharge, but then again this is Nitrogen and we also have a HV arc discharge so perhaps it is not so different. Perhaps just the temperature to achieve Nitrogen ORME is lower?

Just tossing it out there...

Could only find those tunable coil forms at one website, had to have a minimum of $15 ( to not get charged $10 handling fee ) so I grabbed some various ferrite cores to play with along with.

@amigo
Question, what size wire and how many turns are on the coil form for the SEC15?

Been searching through the OU forum but I can't seem to locate the info.

@Vortex sorry missed your question, as far as I know the Doc is using a modified SEC15-3 ( that circuit I linked to) to power the cool white lights and small incandescent. What the modifications are I'm not sure, but in the videos it looks like there is a larger air core coil attached to it. Won't be able to do much till my coil forms get here.

Those coil forms will do just fine, but might need to be rewound. The wire gauge is not an issue, start with AWG 26 and see where it goes. That's why I mentioned the LCR meter as an important part of the instrumentation..

What matters is the resulting impedance which needs to be in the 2-8uH range (according to doc's specs). If I recall, doc's impedance was 1-3uH or so...it really depends on the rest of the circuit (capacitor and the transistor itself).

Regarding the modifications to the original SEC15-3, doc said what they were in the video #6 I believe when he lifts the piece of paper...

Either way, I am still trying to replicate it, because this intrigues me much, the incandescent bulb light up without current frying the operator
Mutten,

nice work, you could say you succeeded against all odds (seeing that doc is not posting on OU anymore)

You really need to make a variable inductor for the oscillator (body with a ferrite slug) so that the LC tank can be tuned precisely and with lower current consumption.

Using store bought inductors is easy at first but can be painful most of the times because component values are limiting the tuning options.

Also, LCR meter is definitely a good item to have , I find myself using it more and more lately, almost as much as a DMM.

Otherwise it's really fun seeing a neon bulb light up brightly from a single transistor oscillator that has no usual step-up transformers in it and relies on resonance.

Try emailing doc Stiffler, perhaps he still has some SEC 15-3 boards around his lab? Having a board is much easier because he designed it in such a way to provide necessary capacitance in the circuit.
I have been following the SEC developments from the start and been replicating them successfully. But with this last Cool White experiment I have not had much success. Sometimes I can't even get my neon bulb to light up, even though there are oscillations, while other times it shines bright, and yes when I touch it it gets brighter. LEDs are not a problem it seems just the higher voltage items.

Same goes when using a beaker filled with water, and aluminium foil around it. I do not know whether this, or my body when using fingers, act as an antenna or not as I am not verse in RF that much.

There's definite ultrawide band oscillations, as I can see the harmonics on the spectrum analyzer but to what amount do these harmonics matter I am not sure.

Looking at doc's videos, his spectrum shots do not look that much different than mine, yet he's lighting flourescent lights and all I can light is a small neon bulb or some LEDs. I have been using various medium to high amplification transistors (150-300 hFE) and they all impose different impedances affecting the resonant frequencies of LC tank in the base.

Something is missing and I do not know what but I plan to find out (by emailing him, hehe)...
I bought the whole set (Vassilatos+Dollard) last year and I am very happy with it. Secrets of Cold War Technology is well worth it on its own, as is any other publication Vassilatos wrote, imho.

Plus the videos included on DVDs far surpass the crappy quality that's available on YT.

I spoke to Chris@Borderlands several times and he seemed like a nice guy. I even had one of the books missing in original shipment and he sent it at no cost.

Sadly it seems Chris is struggling to keep the things afloat due to monetary constraints. There was also a divide that occured in the Borderlands core group but that's politics and human nature I won't dwell upon...
I'm glad it helped, it looked really good and not too hard to understand, so I printed it in colour couple of weeks ago and been using it as a paper reference since then.
Isn't that the premise of the single wire capacitor charging anyway, connecting the other plate to the ground (assuming ground is readily available)?

The ground provides negative charge (electrons), and the single wire positive charge so the potential difference achieved only depends on the level of positive charge.

As jonnydavro found out, the plasma globe does provide an interesting source of charge (through capacitive coupling of the glass sphere and the tin foil, no?)

That's actually plengo's video, Doc Stiffler is MRH2O2 on the youtube: YouTube - MRH2O2's Channel

The Doc's got some interesting thing going and I have been able to replicate most of his findings (I can't do any electrolysis in the present environment) but otherwise the circuits appear to be working and what we lack are the tools to properly measure things since I personally believe that our conventional tools ain't gonna cut it.
I understand the point about cymatics above, I was trying to say that not everyone thinks about Rife frequencies when someone mentions Royal Rife.

I have watched some cymatics videos in which they show various geometric forms being created after specific vibrations are applied, but there's no mention of the apparatus that performs that.

I see a metal plate that vibrates at apparently some audible frequency but how is that being done is not described. Is it a electromagnetically induced vibration, or a speaker underneath the plate blasting at it, or something else. Would be nice if someone could point me at how-to experiments for cymatics beginners

As far as page 1183 from the book I do not see anything related to cymatics there, what should I be looking for?

I'll have a quick read, thanks

As far as Rife I thought he was referring to his microscope and the way it worked. I suppose people always assume when you say Rife that one has to think about resonant frequencies of pathogens instead.
Some interesting ideas being passed around, cool. I wonder whether this fellow had funds to do either smelting or crushing into powder then blending together if he really had to assemble this from 74 different elements.

Then again where could one buy a rod made of pure Tantalum or Tungsten for that matter and use them straight without any processing.

Either way he could've coated the rods with something to keep them from chipping thus we cannot exclude smelting option. And I sincerely doubt he was in Space with 0 g and vacuum doing some tricks of meshing materials together into a seamless mix.

Bryan, what about Tesla and Rife, are you suggesting something to do with HV and interferometry?
