Ernest Culberson 2012 prototype for pressurizing and mixing two gases nitrogen and hydrogen with catalyst, 12000 kwh of power needed to produce a tonne of product. I suspect you could get the kwh per tonne needed down a fair bit. Based on this patent: Roger Gordon (Ontario?) https://www.google.com/patents/US20110243828 This is one approach.
