Tremolo pedal as a pwm

   Hi everyone!
   I am new to this forum, hho and electronics in general.
   I am picking it up pretty quick, but its best to assume i know nothing.
   
   I need a pwm that can handle a 12v 3amp max power supply. I am only learning at the moment but i find it easier to learn if i just do it.
   From my knowledge of music tech, i beleive that a pwm works in very much the same way as a tremolo pedal.
   Is this true?
   If so, would this suffice?
