Good thoughts. Easiest with a signal generator though. I would think the idea would be a self contained tunable inductor circuit when the approximate frequency range was found. It would likely drift with sunlight, at night and during storms...several reasons there to experiment
Drift would have to be auto recalibrating, perhaps a hunting circuit which constantly assesses the return signal, via a simple comparator. Saying that, if the drift circuit worked well enough then the rest of the circuit could find the resonance peak itself and we'd just let it have at it !

The intention has been for the simplest system and easiest for people to build at home. An introduction method for wireless transmission with an AA or lower voltages.
The video above is the next step up, higher voltages and regulation of the input current by novel means.

The small telephone/modem wire and signal transistor system runs at about 1MHz, current draw 20mA. MongrelShark and mnsman1 have kindly replicated and shown scope results as well as other findings.
There are similarities to the Slayer Exciter and Lasersaber's SJR 3.0. Both are in my own background and a lot of folks here..so hopefully this system is of use as widely.

Water regulation is one new area for the Part II version in the video. It 'just works', intending to move from heating resistors and bring in more natural methods of Base trigger control. The Earth itself as a Base trigger is intended for experimentations today, if it quits raining and will open up possibilities of better load feedback. The aim there is to emulate longitudinal signalling, although not yet tuned to produce the push-pull driving method.
The electrolysis and seeming copper sulphate production are side effects needing more exploration. Dropping LED's into the water and them lighting is a fun aside.

Current can be limited more conventionally with an incandescent bulb, as used in the Bedini SSG or TV degauss coils (once had a degauss coil heat til the plastic insulation melted lol, was cold with a house bulb in series).

The 1 wire system is something I like a lot, noticing little loss (none visually noted but not lumen tested) to 60ft so far.
A pancake coil connected to the end of the 1 wire can act as an amplifier and repeater stage, yet still allow the powering of mains loads (nightlight in the video), while also working as an extended 'range' wireless source.

Say, Ramset, have you tried a live-CD running something like Peppermint Linux ? Just download, burn and reboot. Nothing gets changed on your hard drive and it works well on my 1.6GHz 2002 vintage PC.

Yeah, it'll be less effective as a wire than copper, but that's not what we're after.
In effect, the fastest switch is what I believe you want ? The charge and collapse time of the water should, perhaps, feasibly, hopefully (lol) be practically zero. Also, no radiated magnetism.

Hmm, i've had great success with Alum and rainwater as a battery electrolyte. It charges well. Do we want a storage charge or a flat zero, a fast rise and collapse being negated with a chargeable medium ? I dunno which would be best for energy transmission at fast rates.
That would be normal for constant current perhaps - but - how about pulsed or radiant ?

You may find a difference if you use a Bedini pulser, if you have one.
Or, perhaps run 1 connection for an LED through the water, using a Joule Thief and see what happens

If the current never has a chance to build up, then, in my theory anyway, it can't begin an electrolysis process. If such an idea worked, you could change the pulse width with a 555 timer method and see where the best bang for the buck was. A certain frequency at a certain duty cycle would be great to ascertain anyway, for the looped up water coil.

A pills bottle of water without salt will give approx 0.6V @ 2mA, using burnt copper and galvanized steel electrodes. So it's not like the water will form too massive a resistance if it can generate power as is !
You may find that if your input to the coil is made of one metal and the output made of another, that the system could hold great promise

A pleasure
The first time I built one of these and it spun up to actually run, was an amazing personal moment. It means nothing to many, just a motor eh that does stuff with batteries.
But...building something like the SSG with junk parts or at any rate building one yourself, gives a satisfaction beyond sensible reasoning lol
A coil on its own, sat next to a rotor and it actually spins that rotor around, without any sensors or reed switches or brushes or other gubbins. It's very cool, just to stare at and watch it spin.

Sometimes the words used can seem 'off' to some people, anything like "What if any research has gone into those specific parts"
Not to say kiss up to all, but people do get labeled pretty quickly and with reason, because of the potential differences to the status quo from working devices.

I'll help out, though only have a couple of months experience with Bedini circuits specifically. Otherwise, about a year or so with other magnet motors and then from 2008 with R/C related CD-Rom drive based motors and their internals.

The distance is key for a few reasons. Much of anything to do with magnet motors is a Goldlocks principle...too near nothing, too far nothing, inbetween and there ya go.
Placing a coil too near to a magnet will induce a lot of drag. The core inside the coil will pull on the passing magnets and at best the system will run slower than optimum, at worst the whole thing will rattle and shake. If running just 1 coil, then the shaking and probable early failure of the bearings will be heightened.
If placed too far away, you may not even trigger the circuit into running.
The principle, as I understand it, is that a positive pulse is induced into the smaller winding. The other end of that coil connects to the negative supply of the battery. That positive pulse switches the transistor, via a small resistor (or ear of wheat bulb). The transistor now switched, then pulses the main drive coil and around we go.
As far as the diodes, they need to be able to handle the power going through them and be quick enough to not miss spikes. 1N4007 is a good one and plentiful.
I was forever stuck on such a simple to build circuit...wondering how on earth the transistor was able to switch. Best bet is to simply build and experiment.

Which transistor to use is not so much about current output ability. Pretty much any NPN power transistor with 2A and above output, will, inherently have voltage handling figures of 80V and above. The switching speed can be disregarded in terms of sheer speed, 4MHz is plenty for our wheels.
In the case of transistors that come from say a flyback on an old CRT PC monitor, you may find 1500V ratings. Those type don't need the neon across the Collector and Emitter. The popular TIP3055 is popular probably due to Radio Shack carrying them and that they only cost $1.89 a piece. Otherwise, it's really quite lowly in abilities. Better, I believe to head for the MJL21194 or something like the flyback ones. I've built a few wheels now and the only power transistors not to work well are Darlington types (D1414 was one recently). MOSFET's sort of work, but any power transistor will easily kick it into touch for ease of operation and to get a circuit to 'just work'.
To get a feel of what and how and why, salvaging is the least expensive method - a Freecycle advert for an old monitor will produce all the components required except the magnets, including the coil wire from the CRT neck
The magnets, depending on size of first wheel, can be salvaged from computer HDD's. For tiny wheels, you can use the little neo's found inside the laser assembly of CD-Rom drives (2 in each). Neo's from hard drives can be carefully cracked with sharp pliers to bring about useful dimensions.

It's not overunity. Arguably, overunity doesn't exist. What it does, is allow charging that will recondition a battery, rejuvenate an ailing one, bring about longer life from especially lead acids. The longer term usefulness of any battery is where positive effects from this sort of circuit are shown.
Am very glad to see you have Eric Dollard and Chris Carson vids on there - heck, they changed my views in many ways. Especially where Eric explains longitudinal waves being faster than light and some guy says but light speed is the absolute speed limit. To which, Eric explains that light speed is a constant, not a speed limit ! GOLD

Liking what you are doing and congratulations on landing the spot on the SmartScareCrow show. He has some great topics. Started watching that when the Romero machine buzz started.

Another thought - on the left of the page could be a list of topics. Hovering the mouse over the topic of interest extends sideways to the shows within that topic. If kept all on one page like a set of sliding drawers it wouldn't confuse people.
In so doing and as your video list content expands, someone looking for HHO vids need only select from an easily found side panel link, to see the relevant videos.
Most importantly, perhaps, the page would work just the same as most PC users select stuff on say their desktop following a right click.
Meant to put 24 hour not 24/7, but am glad it was read as intended.

In fact, a topic focus day could be repeated weekly, in case people didn't catch it all the first time around or missed it entirely...so schedules would be for 1 month, 4 days per month on each subject matter. Well, i'm no TV exec or anything and don't wish to confuse anything
Just thinking that, if someone posted that they liked the 'Solar' shows on Tuesday, others could tune in next Tuesday to view them.

Ratings based popular topics could be built on with update segments and the like...people may see a growth in one area that they specifically do a show for your channel about.
Am currently watching a presentation by Stan Meyers that I hadn't seen. Simply clicked to have a look at what you are doing and have been sat watching for half an hour.
Such a channel could further understandings, without all the usual click click click of the sidebar on YouTube in hoped for continuations.

Ever thought of something like focus days ? whereby a specific topic would have a 24/7 stream of related videos by different people on a same subject. HHO one day, pulse motors another etc. A schedule would allow people to 'tune in' for an area they are really interested in learning more about. They could start watching at any point and not lose out on info. With the videos being sorted through at your end for quality and content, people would have a better and probably faster grasp of such concepts.
I'm only part way through the video, as the video has stopped at 12.38 and doesn't seem to be buffering ---- BUT--- check out Woopy's post on Laser Saber's Joule Ringer thread.
He had a similar idea of using the ferrite pieces from the necks of old monitors.

So if the source of the ferrite for the coil isn't discussed (which I expect it will be), then that's what is being shown in the early minutes

As I understand this transformer action -
Piece of 'bright' inside the left side of two halves of a ferrite ring.
50 winds of approx 18 gauge copper wire around that same side, then on top we have 15 or 16 winds of same gauge ?
Other side, 150 winds of similar gauge wire, wound bifilar.
Place piece of paper as a seperator between the two sides of the ferrite.
Pulse the 15 winds with 400kHz.
Pulse the 50 winds with 50Hz.
The 150 winds side is where we draw the power from.

It would appear that the resonant frequency is matched to the coil and wire used.
That the transformer action ramps, like the Joule Ringer, self oscillating.
The paper keeps the transfer open loop but working as induction ?
If not, then plexi-glass or something else with static electricity properties could bring further increases in efficiency ?
I have no idea what 'bright' is, but imagine that the sheath inside co-ax cable could be used and I think he mentioned the same.

I have no idea, just seemed such a fascinating thing that went on at your place...and immediate thoughts were of testing your household supply to reproduce the effect with filtered water, back engineer the stuff outta the pipes. As I say, I know nothing about it,but if you can get decent production from small inputs, isn't that what folks are looking for, no matter what and how ?

The one you quote isn't under the YouTube vid and in fact the only negative one was from just 1 hour ago (with 2 thumbs up).
Must say, to a laymans eyes, a kitchen kettle kicks out more that this demo showed.
I'm another whose just getting into homemade batteries and also to have noticed Mr. Hutchison's release of several videos on YouTube in the past few days.
Whatever folks think of the eccentric chap, he makes us wonder with his wonders and with being open about it all that can only be good !
(not sure about the dressing as a woman in one video though lol)

Perhaps a daft question, but, what is the salt commonly used in bathroom salts ? the pea sized pieces found in green vases that old women put in a bath ?
