In terms of thread etiquette, shouldn't we create threads that have
a specific subject or topic ... and not just a "hi everyone" thread.
Some of us like to search for interesting threads by their title.

This is so weird to me. I was writing about this same idea, but
on a "cone" shaped coil.
You could wind several coils, each a PHI ratio of each other and
get them to self-oscillate and heterodyne.

I built two such coils on a cone, one at the hydrogen line,
and one a PHI ratio up the cone and a phi ratio frequency higher.
They both self oscillate. The tuning is a bit tricky.
I believe I spaced them too far apart for the transformer-mixing
effect to be most effective.
I have to re-think the geometry ... but
this idea is AWSOME.

I had this idea after realizing the
Hubbard coils are phi ratios in order to
create "heterodyned" frequencies.

100 GPM of water.

Coincidentally, Tesla's patent #1113716,

can produce 100 GPM of flowing water
from ONLY 30 watts of power.

So it seems to me that utilizing Tesla's FOUNTAIN approach
to push the water UP ... and then utilizing
Pico hydroelectric turbines (or some other highly efficient
small scall hydrogenerator)
"MIGHT"
result in over-unity power generation.

In other words, use a low wattage motor to create
a vortex to move the water level up just a few inches. It will
cascade off the top in a circular pattern at 100 GPM.
Then, have this flow down to a small scale
hydrogenerator like this one:

to produce power.
It looks like this one can operate a minimum head
of 5 meters.... so if you can create a Tesla fountain
that pushes water up 5 meters at low wattage,
your in business.
For EVs

I'm for Electric Vehicles. If I could afford to buy one -- I would.
I'm hoping the cost will come down.
An EV, as a machine, is so much simpler than a combustion engine.

We need battery technology to improve, and investment in the EV
area will cause that spin-off to occur.

We need cleaner air in our cities ... and EVs and Hydrogen cars
will get us there.

The Energy Producers are already under strict regulations ....
which will improve over time -- I hope.
Wind, Solar, Natural Gas, etc. are ways of producing electricity
in a cleaner way ... and these technologies can be done on grand
scales if we have the will.

I think hydrogen cars will be the ultimate solution ... but EVs
will help us bridge to that solution.
As we start to figure out how to make hydrogen cost effectively --
perhaps with little algae critters -- this will be ideal.

The other very nice thing about an EV and/or Hydrogen solution
is that as new ways are discovered to create electricity
and hydrogen, upgrading your vehicle to those new ways
will be easy-as-pie.

We need the costs to come down with EVs and Hydrogen vehicles --
which will occur as more people buy them.
Plastic Garbage be gone

... I don't know ... but throwing out the seed of an idea here.

I don't know enough about plastics or chemistry ... but as a sort
of science-fiction notion, suppose you could design a new
sort of plastic that could be stimulated, via some catalyst,
to turn the complex polymer back into its basic atoms:
carbon, hydrogen and oxygen.
So this would be a sort of self-destruct plastic, that when
stimulated with the correct "encrypted" catalyst, could
be unpolymerized.

Biodegradable plastics was a brilliant idea along these lines.

This really sounds like a job for nanobots and picobots or even smaller.
They could be programmed to go after a certain plastic material and
dismantle the polymers.

Certainly the hydrogen is extremely useful to try to collect if it could be done.

I too will be buying a scope soon.

I've had my eye on a USB Digital Storage Oscilloscope DSO-2090.
The bandwidth is 40mhz which isn't that great.
These come up on ebay for auction about 2 new ones per week or so.

The advantage to a storage scope & USB is you can do nice captures for presentations, etc.

Another alternative is to get a used 100Mhz scope on Ebay.
100Mhz is really what you want. Anything less is kind of slow unless you are ONLY doing audio work. Everything these days is pretty high speed. If you mess around with microcontrollers (or plan to), consider 100Mhz.
You will need 2 channels / Dual trace / at a minimum.

Lots of used scopes are being sold off as the baby-boomers retire.

Where is it?

Suppressed of course.

There are economic interests at play.
There is military industrial complex secrecy.
There is a desire to prevent enemy nations
from having access to cheap energy.
This of course leaves all of us out of it as well.

YET, nature is for all of us to discover on our own
and no one individual can claim rights to processes
created for all of us to share.

It is really time now for some of the suppression to end.
This will rattle some feathers and rustle some cages,
but change is always like that.

It is more dangerous, in my opinion, to have nation states
that are NOT replete with cheap energy.
If energy is too expensive, this will create revolutions,
wars, etc., just as lack of water or food would.

Solve the energy crisis world wide, and you have one less
thing for nations to fight over.

I do agree, however, that it should not be dangerous -- like
STUPID Nuclear power!! I'de rather not have grand children that glow
unless of course its because they've improved their auras through good deeds.

Well said phi1.62.

The notion of controlled chain reaction to produce energy should be something scalable down to the home ...
I can put a cat in a spinning wheel/generator and set my dog to chase, and boom, almost free energy. Cat food & dog food cost.
No one is harmed with radiation and my animals get exercise.
No fancy particle physics involved. LOL

COP approaching 1.0

Everyone is so bent out of shape about COP > 1 being impossible.
Certainly COP approaching 1 is exciting too.
Imagine you are able to create a battery charger
that has COP=1. All the energy from battery A could be fed
over to battery B with 100% efficiency .. or close to it.
So now, B is charged, A is dead. No problem, just reverse them?

The "Tesla Switch" idea uses that notion with 4 batteries.
THE TESLA SWITCH
Two arranged in series to produce 24v say to charge two
others in parallel at 12v. The current flow from 24v to 12v.
Now flip a switch to cause the reverse to happen. The first set
is now arranged in parallel and the 2nd pair arranged in series.
Current flows back.
Do this switching 60 times per second, and you have an AC
current at household frequencies.
Put a low-resistance load in between such as CFLs,
and you have light with very little energy expenditure.

Add a few solar panels to re-fill the tiny bit of energy you use,
and you have a very nice lighting system.

So COP approaching 1 is interesting too.
