An identity on Energetic Forum as it was harvested, not an account on this site. Nobody here has claimed it, and nothing connects it to a person by name.

It seems almost to simple... then again.. simple is good!

So to replicate this we "only" need:

- Cobalt (surface) electrodes ?
- water with dissolved fosfor ?
- 1.2v <> 1.6v ?

Thats it?

About the solar part.. It could be a smokescreen as mentioned.. But hey .. this is MIT.. It cannot be that those questions aren't asked before.. I guess this was the first question of one of the students.. or even his wife ;-)

I was thinking .. Just a long shot.. But could it be that a solar panel delivers a different "kind" of power compared to conventional means of power supply? That somehow something is different with energy created by solar panels?

Anyway, if true, wonderful news!
Hi CM
it could be that simple, as in the clip I linked Nocera claims to have built the splitter & the materials came to a mere $28, this would suggest no or little electronics are involved, I have had a search for phosphate, cobalt to give it a try, but to be honest I am not to sure exactly what I am looking for.
Re your comments on solar electricity, I feel this is what Nocera wants them to believe as a work around the fact that his discovery is possibly OU

Namaste to Dr Nocera, for BRILLIANTLY using the word "Solar" to get grant money and permission for Hydroxy research. He has done us all a great service; and someday he and his team will be recognized for it.

Lol, i bet some schmuck government agency censors and grant coordinator bureaucrats are gonna get fired over this, for being too STUPID to put 2 and 2 together, and not bothering to do their home work ][/I]
Agreed, in the following link Nocera waffles on about how he analysed photosynthesis & how solar energy is converted by plants giving the impression thats how he is doing this trick with solar cells, the cells are just a smoke screen, all they produce is standard electricity, the key is the electrolysis using phosphate, cobalt and only 1.5v .
The clip starts to get interesting around 53min
