Alternative theory.

A more practical and easily understood theory is that that the air sensor just directs the control module to keep the large intake valves closed at cruise speed (60 MPH) where the car would otherwise be wasting gasoline, because it really dosen't need the power the engineers designed it to use on the freeway.

Horizen hydrolyzer and stik.

This video demonstrates how the metal hydride storage canister is discharged incrementally through a screw regulator. It stores 10 liters of hydrogen in safe solid form. An onboard electrolyzer consuming 15 amps would generate around a liter of hydrogen per minute, so one refillable canister would deliver 10 minutes worth of hydrolyzed fuel at maximum release pressure. The canister can mount on the dash board, and the plastic hose can pass through the firewall into the engine compartment to the mouth of the air intake manifold. That's a very simple and safe delivery set up.

The difference is; We're planning to deliver only a tiny trace amount of hydrogen to the Insight air sensor, not supply a bulk fuel; The 10 liter supply may last for days!

The energy conversion from the hydrolyzer has to be under unity, because the alternator dosen't generate current for free to run it; However, if the electrolysis is powered by the combustion spark, it's a free lunch! Ignition timing is the central factor in utilizing the HHO combustion so it melds with TDC. I believe the Honda hybrid control module may be able to handle this timing adjustment automatically in the Insight when the air sensor detects the hydrogen trace.

"Honda's VTEC-E ("E" for economy) valve timing and lift system runs leaner than ever, in part because of a new air-fuel sensor than can detect mixtures as lean as 25:1. The electronic control module maintains a lean mix below 2500 to 3200 rpm (depending on throttle position and load). Above this range, the VTEC opens the second set of intake and exhaust valves".

I tested this 2000 Insight with an onboard Hydrogen electrolyzer, and got a 50% increase in MPG. The incredible thing I discovered was that the Insight continued to get the increased range even after I turned the Hydrolyzer off. I surmised that the motor began to power itself off the atmospheric humidity after the air fuel sensor adjusted the timing to utilize the hydrogen. I simply ran the hydrogen directly into the manifold air intake pictured below on the right.

I believe simply attaching a metal hydride Hydro-stik to the air intake the same way would condition the electronic control module to burn atmospheric moisture as fuel the same way! The efficiency of the IC motor alone went from 55 MPG to 80 MPG with the hydrogen. I believe that when the air fuel sensor detects the hydrogen and accepts it as fuel, it then directs the control module to accept atmospheric humidity as fuel also! You'ld need to prime the engine with the hydrogen after every new start to reset the computer controlled timing to get it to burn moist air for gasoline.

Overunity.

Producing a thousand watt flame for a few milli watts of input makes this "Hydrolyzer" thousands of times overunity!
