WFC design session v53: best candidate (Q=48.7, 86.3kHz)

Sweep: Shed magnification via fatter rod + wider annular film gap (lower C, lower Q) while co-sweeping gamma_se with low-duty peak_v in cold/pure water, to drop V_cell into the 80-250 Td window and park Townsend M in the 0.1-1 sub-critical corner with Faradaic leakage quenched.

Cell: 16mm rod in 18.0mm tube × 50mm, 1 cell(s) parallel → C_eff = 1.85nF, bulk water R = 48940Ω. Water/electrodes (Randles): 0.1ppm Na+ @ 25°C, surface ×0.25 → λ_D 236nm, C_dl 1.0µF, cell series R 20.3Ω, displacement current 98.0%, breakdown margin ×109. Fig-8 voltammetry (4,798,661): τ_EDL 47743.6µs (4121.2 carrier cycles to charge), Faradaic leakage at peak 19.4mA (leak score 0.86 — keep amp leakage inhibited while voltage climbs the ladder). Vapor-film discharge (CGDE onset, 584V across 0.1mm film): regime sub-breakdown, film Paschen 662V, 233 Td — INSIDE the 3-6 eV cold-chemistry window. Townsend α/γ: γ = 0.03 (electrode lever), criterion M = γ(e^{αd}−1) = 0.260 → SUB-CRITICAL, the target corner: avalanche multiplying, γ feedback still open, gas stays cold. Per-molecule (series micro-capacitor chain): 3.70M molecules across 1.00mm → 157.71 µV/molecule (polarization (µV band)). Chokes: 2 × 0.000919H (20 turns, AWG 18, 2m wire, AC R 0.1Ω each). At resonance f_r = 86.32kHz: Xl = 997Ω, Xc = 997Ω, tank Q = 48.7, coil Q = 6010.3. Cell voltage 584V from 12V drive (×48.7). Tank current 0.59A circulating (CW upper bound — rate wire/switch for this); average input 12mA at 2% duty. No hard violations (band, wire length, dielectric). Average current is scored, not gated. Score 0.803.
