The step-up coil is wound on a 1.50 inch diameter, 0.25 inch thick toroidal ferromagnetic powder core (Ferramic Q6 'Permag'); the primary winding has 200 turns of 29 gauge copper wire and the secondary has 600 turns of 36 gauge wire.
