Serially/individually connected plate exciter pairs raise leakage limit to 7 volts
Applying positive voltage individually to each outer plate exciter and negative voltage individually to each inner plate exciter (rather than in parallel) eliminates surface leakage between larger plate areas, raising the amplitude limit to 7 volts (L-4 of FIG. 8); the negative plate exciter is the center conductor of an inner/outer arrangement, connected to ground 20 (power supply ground).
