Pulsing the electromagnet input voltage reduces output voltage without changing output frequency
By pulsing the input voltage to the electromagnets and shortening the duty cycle (short pulse duration relative to the constant-frequency output pulse train), the output voltage magnitude is drastically reduced while the output frequency remains constant; a constant DC source instead provides maximum output.
