Gas resonant cavity uses lasers or photon source to promote gas ionization
In the gas resonant cavity (Figure 5A), semiconductor optical lasers 20a-20p surround the gas flow path, or in Figure 5B photon energy 20 is injected into a separate absorption chamber 21, directing electromagnetic wave energy of a predetermined wavelength and pulse-intensity to ions forming the gas to promote ionization.
