Current inhibitor resistor 60 connected inner-plate-to-ground raises limit to 8.5 volts
Resistor 60 (FIGS. 1 and 5), a variable resistor for fine tuning, is connected individually (60a...60n) between each inner (negative) plate exciter and ground; since it runs ground-to-ground it causes no voltage drop but blocks electron leakage current, raising the amplitude limit to 8.5 volts (L-5 of FIG. 8).
