Current flow between plates is restricted to inhibit electron leakage
The variable voltage source includes means for restricting current flow between the plate exciters to a minimum value relative to the applied potential difference, by regulating the repetitive frequency of the voltage pulses to inhibit electron-leakage current caused by the applied voltage amplitude, keeping current below a first minimum level.
